Artist's Comments

Title taken from that of the same song by Conjure One.

Just been feeling rather depressed and sad lately. Took an old photo of graduation day and added the cresent, the ripples, and drew in the rest.

Lyrics to the song are as follows:

it just ain't fair this thing called loving
when one stepped there and the other feels nothing
i would have done anything for you
i still love you, baby i adore you

all day i keep from falling apart
but at night when the sky gets dark

tears from the moon
fall down like rain
i reach for you
i reach in vain

couldn't sleep so i went out walking
thinking about you and hearing us talking
and all the things i should have said
echo now, inside my head

i feel something falling from the sky
i'm so sad i made the angels cry

tears from the moon
fall down like rain
i reach for you
i reach in vain

tears from the moon, tears from the moon

stop, stop haunting me
it should be easy
as easy as when you stopped wanting me

tears from the moon
fall down like rain
i reach for you
i reach in vain

tears from the moon
fall down like rain
but tears from the moon
can't wash away the pain

tears from the moon, tears from the moon
tears from the moon, tears from the moon

::sighs:: It's my problem in a simple 5 minute song. Damn love.

This has no comments and no favs? That's hard to believe...absolutely beautiful work. Everything from color to execution...to the idea...

Actually, I did desaturate the girl's face... though I'm thinking that looks even more odd than what it was before. Maybe I should add a touch of cyan to it...
*coughs*

Anyhow, thanks very much. ^_^

So, you want crit? ^_^

Things are put together really nicely. There aren't any awkward parts where your neck ends, because it kind of implies black shirt collar and such. The moon and water ripples both fade to black, and everything is put together good.

My only complaint, really, is the straight vertical line from of the tear that falls down to the ripples. Down at the bottom where it becomes a tear, the way the line fades and thins is nice, but the fact that the rest of it is a uniform thickness is kind of out of place, considering how good everything else is.

The ripples are really neato; did you get those from a photo? And the tear is all sparkly-shiny-pretty...

I like this overall.

I'm slightly confused about what you mean with the falling tear-- I dunno know, but what i think I meant to have the vertical line there was to show the path of the tear. Kind-of like it looks like it'd be a stream of constant water, but then becomes a single drop. *shrugs* I dunno.

The ripples were half from a photo that I've had stored onthis computer for ages... I coloured them differently though, adding shine and real depth to them. They were boring when they looked flat[ter]. >_<

Glad you like it, though. ^_^

This be fricking gorgeous. Why have I not seen this before? Hmmm! Well, I love it. I'm quite obsessed. The curve of the moon, the linearness of the tear...just a beautiful blue composition.
